I always suspected that I was a hat person. There were the outfit coordinating visors in middle school. The ornate ribbons and headbands in high school. Then the alternating between the black and white newsboy cap and the the black felt fedora in college.
But after college, practicality got in the way and I only really wore hats when they were necessary. Over the past couple of months, however, some of that old whimsy has returned, leading me to start wearing hats again. Little by little, credit card swipe by credit card swipe (haha), I’ve started up a hat collection.
This Gucci hat seems to be one of the more practical hats in my collection. I bought this in a size medium, which is my normal hat size. I originally bought it in February on FarFetch.com for $590 (though the price has since went up). This is also one of the more comfy hats in my collection. The lining is viscose, so it won’t pull on your hair as you take it on and off. It’s made of a thin material, so it’s light and doesn’t fit on my head too snug. I’ve worn this hat in both cold and warm temperatures, and I can say for a fact it’s very versatile.

Now, is this hat worth 600 entire bucks? As always, that’s going to be a personal preference. But when I’m looking for a casual, comfortable hat to add a little oomph to an outfit, this is one of the first I reach for. For more, feel free to check out my video review below.
